Bardock Saga

A Long time ago, Freeza took over the Saiyan planet and he used the saiyans, to act as mecenaries to destroy other planets. A Saiyan warrior by the name of Bardock is with his teammates when they wipe out another planet. While on this planet a surviving member of the dying planet, curses Bardock with the ability to see his future. Meanwhile, Bardock's son, Kakarot is born. Additionally, Freeza becomes convinces that the saiyans banded together represent a threat to his growing power. At this time, the cocky Vegeta asks Freeza to send him to another planet to destroy and leaves with Nappa. On Bardock's home planet, his teammates leave to destroy another planet without him. Bardock learns what has happened and leaves to join his fellow saiyan warriors. He arrives at the planet and finds his dying comrades. A dying Saiyan informs Bardock of Freeza's plot to destroy the saiyan home planet. He soon encounters some of freeza's henchmen and defeats them without too much trouble except for Dodorio who blows away Bardock with a huge fireball. Meanwhile, Kakarot is sent to the planet Earth to destroy it when he grows up. Bardock survives Dodorio's assault but is seriously injured. He still somehow travels back to the saiyan homeworld and tells his comrades of Freeza's plot to destroy their planet. Ironically, the Saiyans think of a plot to be a joke and mock Bardock. Frustrated by the lack of support, Bardock decides its up to him to save his homeworld. As Freeza's spaceship approaches the planet Bardock flies toward it in rage. In his fury Bardock defeats all of Freeza's henchmen who attack him. Freeza exits his ship and mocks Bardock. With the last of his strength Bardock creates a fireball and throws it at Freeza who laughs and shoots a huge fireball of his own. Freeza's fireball passes right through Bardock and his fireball heads for the planet. The planet Vegeta, Bardock and the saiyan race are anhilated (except for Vegeta, baby Goku, Napa, Raditz, Taurus, and Coola's ship). An instant before his death Bardock looks into the future and sees Freeza's destruction at the hands of his son Goku. Bardock smiles at the irony and dies a happy death. Vegeta and Napa are told that their planet was destroyed due to a meteor shower. Kakarot's two older brothers (Rabitz and Taurus) are elsewhere so they survive. Kakarot, whom we all know and love as Goku lands on planet Earth and is found by Son Gohan. Gohan adopts Kakarot and names his new grandson Gokou. Thus, begins the magnificient story of Dragonball...


Vegeta Saga
The series starts out with Goku having a reunion with Bulma, Master Rochi, and
Krillin. He introduces them to Gohan, his five year old son and everything seems
peaceful for a change. However, a Saiyan alien lands on Earth to seek Goku. He
introduces himself as Raditz, Goku's older brother! Surprised that Goku has not
destroyed everyone on Earth, he asks Goku to join him in the Saiyan quest of
universal destruction. But, when Goku refuses, Raditz kidnaps Gohan to blackmail
Goku. His command is to kill everyone on Earth. However, Goku remains loyal to
Earth and decides to rescue Gohan through another method-- by killing Raditz!
Surprisingly, Piccolo allies himself with Goku and the first fight of Dragonball Z
begins. After a short time fighting Raditz, Piccolo loses his arm and decides to gather
energy to do a super fireball on Raditz. Meanwhile, Goku stalls for time. When
Piccolo is finally powered up, he fires at Raditz, but only grazes his shoulder. Goku
then pulls a surprise attack and grabs Raditz's tail. However, the sneaky Raditz fools
Goku into believing he will leave the Earth in peace. Once Goku lets go, Raditz starts
beating him up. Once it seems that Goku is doomed, suddenly there is an explosion
from where Gohan is being held captive. Gohan suddenly displays his hidden powers
and head butts Raditz, breaking his Saiyan armor. Of course, the blow to the head
gives Gohan a slight case of amnesia, and he can't remember a thing he just did. After
Raditz beats up on Gohan for a while, Goku puts his brother in a hold. At the
advantage, Piccolo powers up and unleashes his fireball, which blasts and hits both
Goku and Raditz! Piccolo laughs at the dying Raditz and he mocks him that Goku will
be brought back to life through the power of the Dragonballs. Goku's brother retorts
that the device he uses to detect energy levels can also be used for communication. He
sends the news about the Dragonballs to his two comrades, and dies.
Because Piccolo discovered that Gohan had hidden powers when Gohan unknowingly
head butts and damages Raditz, he takes Gohan from the terrified friends of Goku in
an attempt to train him. Goku, rather than retiring in Heaven, is sent on a quest to
run on Snake Way and to seek King Kai to receive training for the upcoming fight
with the Saiyans. The rest of the Z warriors (Krillin, Yamcha, Tenshin-han, and
Chauzu) are gathered to receive special training from Kami.

One year later, Nappa and Vegeta (the evil Saiyans) arrive on Earth. (Instead of
deciding to use the Dragonballs to restore their fellow Saiyan, they intend to wish for
immortality.) First comes the battle against the Saiba-men (little green monsters) that
Nappa planted. The Saiba-men fight, but are eventually killed by Tenshin-han and
Krillin. (At one of these fights, Yamcha is killed when a Saiba-man latches on to him
and blows himself up.) After the Saiba-men's defeat, our heroes fight Nappa while
Vegeta stands in the background and watches. In a series of battles, Chauzu dies as he
sacrifices himself in an attempt to blow up Nappa in the same way the Saiba-man did
with Yamcha. Tenshin-han dies by using up all of his strength to try to kill Nappa. On
an impulse, Vegeta calls for a three hour break to wait for Kakarot (Goku), For
Vegeta hopes to convert Goku to the Saiyan cause. When the time is up, the fighting
resumes without Goku. Piccolo dies when Gohan angers Nappa to where he unleashes
a powerful fireball, and Piccolo blocks Gohan with his body. Finally, Goku arrives and
easily defeats Nappa using his new Kaio-ken technique. Vegeta sees Nappa's
uselessness and kills him with a single fireball.

Now comes the powerful battle between Goku and Vegeta (Gohan and Krillin are
ordered to go away so they won't be held hostage). After a while of smacking each
other, Vegeta faces defeat and decides to blow up the Earth! To save the Earth, Goku
breaks his promise to King Kai, by using Kaio-ken times three. Goku and Vegeta
shoot two huge fireballs at each other and achieve a stalemate. Goku decides to go
even farther and does a Kaio-ken times four. Vegeta is overwhelmed and shot into
space as an angry speck. Then Vegeta realizes all he has to do is transform into his
other mode. So Vegeta creates a energy ball that substitutes the moon. Then, he turns
into his full moon stage and turns into a giant gorilla. Our hero gets kicked around
but blinds Vegeta temporarily. He then gathers energy for his other new technique,
the Spirit Bomb. Unfortunately, Goku doesn't have enough time to throw the bomb at
Vegeta. But in surprise move, Yajirobe cuts off Vegeta's tail. Also, the other Z
warriors have returned to help. Goku gives his Spirit Bomb to Krillin which misses,
and Gohan unwittingly deflects onto Vegeta! Still Vegeta survives. Meanwhile,
Gohan's tail grows back. Gohan turns into his full moon stage and kicks Vegeta
around. Later, Gohan gets his tail cut off by Vegeta and finally turns back into a little
boy... landing right on top of Vegeta.

Vegeta, weary and defeated, crawls to his space shuttle and hovers on the brink of
death as Krillin takes Yajirobe's sword and tries to kill him, but Goku tells him not to.
Vegeta laughs and says the have made a mistake, for he will come back for revenge.
Slowly he crawls in the shuttle and leaves Earth. But this is not the last we see of
Vegeta...

Freeza Saga
Goku is recovering from the battle against Vegeta while Vegeta is in his space-pod retreating back
to Freeza's planet. Popo appears (on a flying carpet) and tells the cast of the existence of Namek
(Porunga) dragonballs. With this news, Bulma tries to get Nappa's space pod to work, and
accidentally blows it up! But again Popo comes to the rescue, and shows them Kami's ship with
which he traveled to Earth on. Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin prepare a voyage to Namek to gather
the other dragonballs. New hopes arise for the hope of wishing back the deceased warriors of the
battle against Nappa and Vegeta. The three then begin their journey on Kami's spaceship (and
Gohan gets a new hairstyle).
The adventure begins when the Z warriors are captured by nomad aliens who think that the Z's are
part of Freeza's crew. This is the first sign of Freeza, the leader of space pirates who destroyed the
aliens' planet. The misunderstanding becomes one that led to friendship, as everything is cleared
up when Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin save the aliens from a meteor shower. Next, the cast lands on
a planet they mistake for Namek. The two occupants of the planet were stranded there for years,
and only once in a long time does the weather clear up for a chance of escaping the planet. The
aliens pose as Nameks (they have the ability to read minds, and so discovered the crew's agenda
for Namek). The truth is eventually revealed, and Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin regain possession of
their ship and leave the two aliens stranded. Meanwhile, Vegeta has reached his destination and is
recuperating in a stasis pod.

Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin finally arrive on Namek, but discover that they have company. The
being known as Freeza is also on Namek, and he already has 4 dragonballs! He, too, hungers for
the dragonballs to wish for immortality. Vegeta, now fully recovered from his injuries inflicted by
Goku, is also on the planet, sharing the same goal as Freeza. The race for dragonballs begins...

There are seven villages in Namek, each with an elder possessing a dragonball. Freeza and his
henchmen slowly eradicate the villages after robbing them of the dragonballs. Bulma hides and
transmits the news back to Earth through a portable satellite telephone. Gohan and Krillin spy on
Freeza to see his character. Unable to restrain from helping the endangered Nameks, the two
heroes leap in to help. This is when Dende is introduced. He is a small Namekian who is on the
verge of being killed when Gohan and Krillin grab him and run. Freeza's left-hand man, Dodoria,
is sent after Gohan and Krillin. The heroes are being closely tailed and barely manage to give
Dodoria the slip. Soon, he encounters Vegeta. After bargaining for his life by telling Vegeta the
truth of what happened to Planet Vegeta (Freeza blew up the planet, believing it's inhabitants to
have become too dangerous). However, Vegeta unforgivingly kills Dodoria anyway. Meanwhile,
Yarijobe visits Goku at the hospital and gives him some senzu beans. Goku automatically recovers
from his injuries and travels to where Dr. Briefs lives. Dr. Briefs built a spaceship for Goku to
journey to Namek. It has life support, living quarters, and a special gravity machine Goku can use
for his training. Now, Goku is on his way... Also, King Kai informs Goku that Tenshin-han,
Chauzu, Yamcha, and Piccolo have arrived on his planet to receive his special training!

Vegeta makes a plan that if he captures just one of the dragonballs, Freeza will be unable to make
his wish (all seven dragonballs are required to summon Shenlong, the Eternal Dragon). Vegeta
eliminates a Namek village and steals a dragonball. After hiding it in a nearby lake, he encounters
Zarbon, Freeza's right-hand man. The two fight and Vegeta seems to be winning, when Zarbon
suddenly changes into a more powerful (and ugly) monster. Vegeta is defeated and eventually
brought back to Freeza's lair. There, after recovering in a stasis pod for a small while, he escapes
and steals the dragonballs in Freeza's possession. Freeza becomes furious and summons the Ginew
Force (all with members more powerful than Vegeta!). During the battle, Krillin and Dende arrived
at Guru's lair to retrieve a dragonball. There, Guru also unleashes the warrior's hidden powers.
But when Krillin traveled back to the cave Bulma was staying in, he was unknowingly
accompanied by Vegeta and Zarbon. Upon arrival, Vegeta defeats Zarbon and takes Krillin's
dragonball. Gohan, however, was gone and was using Bulma's dragon-radar to track down a local
dragonball- the one that Vegeta had stolen and hidden. When Vegeta travels back to the place he
hid the Dragonball, half way he encounters Gohan (who has the dragonball, but has hidden it
behind a hill). Vegeta mocks Gohan, knees him in the stomach, and passes on. Gohan returns
triumphant to Bulma and Krillin. Gohan and Krillin leave the ball with Bulma (who nearly loses it
twice) while they go have Guru unleash Gohan's hidden power. While all this has been happening,
Goku has been training under the intensity of 100 times the Earth's gravity!

Vegeta meets with Krillin and Gohan at Guru's house and offers to make an alliance with them, as
he senses the arrival of the Ginew Force. The dragonballs are gathered at once as Vegeta prepares
to wish for immortality so that he can become powerful enough to defeat the "unbeatable force".
They come too late; the force has arrived. Captain Ginyu, Jees, Baata, Recoome, and Guldo stand
before the three. The Ginew Force quickly steal the dragonballs and Ginyu flies away with them. A
huge battle follows. Vegeta manages to kill Guldo (after Guldo nearly kills Krillin and Gohan), but
is of no match for Recoome. Then Gohan holds out against him until...

Goku finally arrives. He hands out senzu beans to Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta. He defeats
Recoome with one punch (he is now so fast it is impossible to see him, even with "seeing eyes").
Then Jees and Baata team up on him, and he defeats them easily too. Vegeta takes this chance and
kills off the injured members to Team Ginew. Vegeta, no longer a threat to the heroes (for now),
joins in the battle on Goku's side. Ginyu arrives. Ginyu does his body transfer ability on Goku
and swaps bodies. Vegeta beats Ginyu (in Goku's body). Ginyu then switches bodies again. Goku
is badly battered. Ginyu, once again, attempts to switch bodies with Goku, but Goku throws a frog
to intercept the beam, and Ginew permanently swaps bodies with the frog.

Goku is taken to recuperate in a Saiyan stasis pod. Vegeta gives Gohan and Krillin Saiyan armor
suits. The dragonballs were gathered and the Porunga Shenlong was summoned. Three wishes were
granted. The first wish revived Piccolo. The second transported him to Namek to join in the fight.
At the third wish, Guru was killed so the dragonballs turned into stone. Now, the heroes must face
the wrath of Freeza...

A battle follows. Freeza has killed nearly all the Nameks on the planet, so the Namek dragonballs
have also turned to stone. The heroes are able to stand up to Freeza, so Freeza undergoes a
power-up and enters a physical body change. As the battle becomes more intense, Freeza does goes
through more metamorphosis stages until his perfect form is reached. No one is certain who will
win. Vegeta has been killed. The only true damage done to Freeza was the with Krillin's flying disc
beam, which truncated half of Freeza's tail. In a final attempt to defeat Freeza, Goku prepares a
Spirit Bomb . The fireball is cast and everyone thinks that Freeza has lost. However, Freeza
survived...

Wasting no more time, Freeza does a blast that rips through Piccolo. Then, he engulfs Krillin in a
fatal force field and crushes it. Goku sees the deaths of his friends and remembers all the innocent
people that Freeza has killed. Anger takes over Goku's body and Goku powers up. His hair turns
gold and Goku reaches Super Saiyan level for the first time. Goku tells Gohan that Piccolo is still
alive. Gohan takes Piccolo's body back to Goku's spaceship and then finds Bulma in his father's
orders to travel back to Earth. Goku now goes on a one-on-one combat battle against Freeza...

Goku evades Freeza's attacks. Freeza, trembling in the chance that he may lose to Goku, an
"inferior Saiyan monkey", does a fireball aimed at the planet. Namek's core is destroyed, and
planet will explode in 5 minutes. Hurricanes form. Cliffs break off. Rubbish flies everywhere. An
ominous look is set on what will happen...

Kami telepathically communicates to Kai. He tells that he will make a plan with the Earth
dragonballs and asks what wish to make. Kai develops a plan to wish to revive all those killed by
Freeza. In turn, Guru and Dende will be brought back to life and the Namek dragonballs will
become available again. Then, the Porunga dragonballs can be used to make a wish to teleport
everyone on Namek, except for Freeza, to Earth. Popo has gathered the dragonballs and the first
half of the plan is followed. The Porunga Shenlong is summoned and is awaiting to grant the third
wish. Freeza sees his chance to be granted immortality and races to the dragon. Vegeta, revived
from the wish, also joins in the race. Dende arrives, but it is Freeza makes his wish first. However,
the Porunga Shenlong ignores Freeza (the wish must be said in Namek) and grants Dende's wish,
which by Goku's plea was changed to leaving he and Freeza on Namek.

All who were affected by the wish are on Earth. Dende heals Piccolo. Guru, dying, transfers his
role to Rooli to become the new Elder so that the Namek dragonballs may "shine again". Guru
explains what has happened, and then dies.

Goku fights Freeza to a stand-still, but time eventually shows that Freeza was no match for a Super
Saiyan. In Freeza's pathetic final attack, two disc beams are tossed at Goku. With skillful
maneuvering by Goku, the beams slice Freeza in two instead. Freeza is dying and pleads for help.
Goku gives him a bit of his energy to give Freeza a last chance. Freeza, unwilling to change and
lose to a low-class Saiyan, does another fireball at Goku. Goku counters it and it overwhelms
Freeza. The 5 minutes are up and Planet Namek explodes.

A spaceship passes by shortly after the destruction of Planet Namek. It's leader, Cold, the father of
Freeza, finds the remains of Freeza's body flowing through space and quickly orders his henchmen
to rescue his son. Freeza is literally rebuilt, and he becomes half robotic. Now, father and son plan
to land on Earth to get revenge...

The ship lands on Earth. The Z warriors on Earth are no match for Freeza, and now they must face
him in addition to King Cold... without the help of Goku, to which all believed was dead. Cold
and Freeza believe in swift victory in the destruction of Earth, but a figure appears out of nowhere.
Vegeta recognizes the aura of the man to be that of a Saiyan, and resents the fact that there is
another stronger than him. The mysterious visitor charges up and reaches Super Saiyan mode.
With a few slashes with his sword, Freeza is truly killed. Then, the figure shoots a fireball at Cold,
which pierces through his heart and instantly kills him.

The stranger introduces himself as Trunks, the future son of Bulma and Vegeta. He tells the cast
that Goku is not dead, but escaped to Planet Yardat when Planet Namek exploded. Then, he tells
that Goku should appear in a few seconds. The Z warriors are shocked, and Goku does appear. He
really did take refuge in Yardat and learned how to teleport from its inhabitants. Then, Trunks
introduces his purpose to seeking the Goku and the cast, and this leads to the Cell Series...
